SPLit

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about splitting bills on Solana with SPLit.

What is SPLit?

SPLit is a Solana-native bill-splitting application that lets you split expenses with friends and settle instantly using SOL or USDC. Unlike Venmo or Splitwise, settlements happen on the Solana blockchain in under 1 second with near-zero fees.

How much does SPLit cost?

SPLit is free to use. The only cost is the Solana network transaction fee, which averages $0.00025 per settlement. There are no monthly fees, subscription costs, or hidden charges.

What wallets does SPLit support?

SPLit supports Phantom, Solflare, and Backpack wallets. You can connect any Solana-compatible wallet that supports the wallet adapter standard.

Is SPLit safe? Is it custodial?

SPLit is completely non-custodial, meaning you retain full control of your funds at all times. We never hold your crypto. All settlements are direct wallet-to-wallet transfers that you sign with your own wallet.

How is SPLit different from Venmo or Splitwise?

SPLit settles instantly (sub-second) vs Venmo's 1-3 days. Fees are ~$0.00025 vs Venmo's 3% instant transfer fee. Unlike Splitwise which only tracks debts, SPLit actually settles them on-chain with cryptographic proof.

Can I split bills in stablecoins?

Yes! SPLit supports both SOL and USDC (a USD-pegged stablecoin). This means you can split bills without worrying about crypto price volatility.

Do I need crypto to use SPLit?

Yes, you need a small amount of SOL for transaction fees (~$0.00025 per settlement) and either SOL or USDC to settle debts. You can try our demo mode without any crypto to explore the app.

How fast are settlements on SPLit?

Settlements on SPLit are confirmed in under 1 second thanks to Solana's high-speed blockchain. This is ~100x faster than traditional payment apps.
